A printable Valentine's Day Angel | DIY Kids Craft

In continuing my countdown for Valentine's Day 2013 I wanted to post a craft for the kiddos.  

So recently I have been all over the Internet in search for the perfect Valentine's Day Printable to do with my Brownie Scout troop and I finally found it at a cute site called Jolly Allsorts.  I was so happy to see this that I immediately printed it out and did it myself to see if it was easy and I think it will go well with a bunch of 7 and 8 year olds.

So here it is....

Do you think I pulled this one off? It was quite easy and I think I may just laminate it so it can last for awhile.

Girl Scout Cookie Season is Finally Here!

For thousands of Girl Scouts across the United States, this is one of the most wonderful time of the year....The Girl Scout cookie season! From now until January 24, the focus of my troops meetings will be on creating the best cookie booth, to learn how to deal with potential customers, making corrects change, and keeping a positive spirit while selling.

My Girl Scout Weekend ( Dallas GS Cookie College)

Hey everyone so I took some days off... The holidays has me all over the place right now and I'm nowhere near finish shopping. I don't know what it is but this Christmas thing is no bueno right now. I will be posting deals as I find them because I'm still doing this shopping thing too so imma share a good deal.

This past weekend I had my first girls scouts outing and it was great. It was called Cookie College and the girls took over the University of North Texas Dallas. As many of you knew this was a one of those decision that I was a little on the fence with when I first signed up but its becoming rewarding.

I have six little girls from the ages 7 to 9. Six different personalities, different races, and different sizes. I believe that that there is a bigger purpose to being a troop leader after attending this event and seeing all the different girls. I'm a true believer that racism, bullying, and low self esteem problems among kids can start in the home when children are young. I want all these you ladies to know that that are beautiful, smart and important!!!

As you know this world is crazy and I want to know that I had a part in raising some very productive young women. Maybe one day ill be able to say the President of the United States was one of my Girl Scouts.

I'm a Girl Scout Troop Leader....and why you should also!

So recently I became a Girl Scout Troop Leader for a small bunch of Brownie girls here in the DFW area. At first I was a little nervous because I didn't know anything about scouting. But after some serious begging from a cute little 8 year old called my daughter I gave in and now I'm loving it.

Did you know that there are more little girls out here wanting to be be girl scouts than there are troops? Yep, and its really sad that someone would not be able to participate due to lack of volunteers. Yes Volunteers!!! Don't let that word scare you away, I know times are hard and for some if a paycheck is not attached there is no interest but this is a great organization that has been around for 100 years.

As a kid where you a girl scout?

When I was growing up I was a girl scout for about two years and I still remember our meetings. It was twice a month after school in the cafeteria. We got together did different activities, learned new skills and sang out troop song " Make new friends". Those was the good ole days..

So I am asking that if you are reading this thinking I should be a Troop Leader to go and do it now!!! Because a little girl needs you.... and it really easy to start. You can pick your location, the number of girls, when you want to have meetings.
