Almost a month ago I was invited out to spend a day at one our local Tom Thumb stores to learn about the new Just4U program that started. Now I know your thinking it took me a long time to post my review about the program and it is.... but i wanted to try it out first and then share my honest opinion of what I feel about the program.

Now if you didn't know ill tell you "I love Tom Thumb". I shop there all the time and I go during certain times just to visit with my favorite checkers. So Gail and D'Angelo from the Duncanville store I hope you get a raise because your the greatest.

So what is Just 4 U?

Just for you is a program that Tom Thumb has created to give you and me "the shoppers" the best deals at all times on products that we love. The Program is broken up into two different parts to make sure you can maximize your savings.

When you log into your Tom Thumb website on you PC or Smartphone you will will be prompted with two options:

1.  Coupon Center.

2. Personalized Deals.

So what are they you ask? Well Coupon Center are coupons that are selected just for you. There are two different types of coupons so you must be careful because one is stack able with other coupons and one is not.

1.  If the coupons offers a item at a certain price then you  can use a manufacture coupons. For example lets say you can get Ketchup for $2.50 with J4U coupons...you can pair that with a $1 manufacture coupons and get it for $1.50. 

2. If the coupons says "Save ??? off X product" then you cant use another coupons. For example at the time there is a save $1.50 off 3 Spam products coupons currently running. This is not a stackable coupons because its actually a coupon provided from a manufacture to the company.

The next option that is offered on the website is the Personalized Deals sections. Now this is my favorite sections because its where Tom Thumb takes items that you already buy and give you better deals than what is currently offered in the store. This is there why of saying thanks for being our customer!!! This deals are also stack able with coupons so make sure you pair them up when shopping.

Happy Monday Everyone... I hope your all hungry and ready to Meal Plan.I missed meal planning last week since it was the second week of school and i was every where try to re-adjust to running all around town with the kids.

 Most of the menu this week will use Ground Beef and Chicken because  most of  my money was spent on School Supplies and things are a little tight in my house.

Monday: Taco Pizzas.... Now don't think just reach out and grab you... It a little out of budget but after seeing this i have to make it.

Product Review: Knot Genie- The Preview

The Post Review of the Knot Genie is here! This this a great product that worked on African American hair!

Well this is my first of many product reviews but this one will actually be in two parts since I have yet to receive my new Knot Genie. But I want to give you my honest opinion on this item prior to receiving it so we can see if it lives up to it name the Knot Genie.

First off I am an African American Female and I have very course hair. On a bad day when I have to comb out my hair it could take hours without a good detangler spray. This is also the same for my eight year old daughter, its has become a fight to do her hair without some tears being shed.

So to see the product my first thought was "Yeah Right" but until I try it I will never know the try power of the Knot Genie. After reading over the site i see there are very little information that would spark the interest of  anyone that is African American. Our type of hair (Course) is not even one of there categories on the site....we are labeled under "Mind of its own". Then there is one bullet that states:

- Ethnic hair is typically strong, but it can also snap easily from too much stress. This is one of the major reasons The Knot Genie works so well, as it gently untangles knots. Make sure you go easy on other things that stress the hair... go easy on the glued-in extensions, tight braids and cornrows, and hard, gel hairstyles. Alternating between wearing the hair loose and braiding it on a weekly basis is a good rule of thumb.~ Knot Genie website

Walmart has announced some of the Hunger Games stars to appear at the Walmart Midnight DVD Release Party for The Hunger Games on Friday night August 17th at selected Walmart locations!

Meal Plan Monday: 13 August 2012

Happy Monday Texas Family!

How was your weekend? Mine was long and hot we had to finish up school shopping because today was the first day of School... THANK GOD!!! ...W can not keep food in the house. So yes its Meal Plan Monday again and this is my menu for the week and its all easy and affordable for you. 

I just wanted to start off by telling you how delicious one of the new recipes that i made last week was. On Thursday I made BBQ Bacon Meatloaf , Mash Potatoes and Corn. This turned out to be a great success in the house. I do sugesst that you try this out and it quick also.

Monday: Southern Fried Catfish and Fries (Fish and Chips). My husbands request for the week.

Tuesday: Chicken Bruschetta Bake- I was never able to make this last week so i have re-added it this week.

Wednesday: Rest and Relax- Left overs!!!!

Thursday: Melt in Yo Mouth BBQ Ribs

Friday: Slow Cooker Pot Roast, mash potatoes and green beans.
