To start off the Jucing on a Budget series I wanted to first point out some important things that you may not know about juicing. I find that the more knowledge you have in juicing the better you will be at becoming a  successful juicer.


1. Juicing CAN be expensive if you don't be smart!

So I was going to jump strait into juicing when my wonderful juicer hit the door step. I jumped on line started googling juicing recipes and then I was hit with a YouTube video of a woman that said she spends $50+ a week to juice. At that moment I thought OMG I don't think this will be for me.

So today I want all of you to think, investigate and then buy!

Think what you can afford, set a budget today of what you will spend for fruit and veggies. Investigate what is in season and then search for the sales. If you shop for whats in season you will find it cheaper. For example Strawberries are in season from March thur May and this will be when you can find them on sale. The best fruit for Fall is Pineapples. Lastly go buy....If you do this I promise you wont break the bank and quit juicing before you can reap the benefits.

So your task for today is to find where you can find your produce at a great price.

Would you join the gym for free child care?

 So the conversation for the day is this... Would you join a gym for a hour of peace???

I'm a current member of 24 Hr fitness and while my kids are a little too old for the gym daycare I thought this was a great ideal if you was a stay at home mom. I know right now someone is yelling at the computer that i'm a terrible woman for thinking this is a great ideal but I was at one time a stay at home mom and I use to have days that i just wanted be kid free.

Now I love my kids but sometimes.... I think you understand.

So the question of the day is this... would you get a gym membership for the sake of 60 minutes of total you time?

Red Box | Entertainment without breaking the bank

Hello Crazy Texas Savers!!!

I decided to write this post since there are still some people that have not ventured into Red box land. Have you noticed the RedBox Machines in the entry way of some of your local supermarkets and stores? Did you know that it can save you a lot of money?  

Currently they carry DVDs, BlueRays and Video Games....so there is something for the entire family.

Still not convinced????A few years ago when I first seen this machine the first thing i thought was that is a waste of money but after i canceled my 20 dollar Netflix acount I realized that I saved over 15 dollars a month going this route. Now i pick up movies on Friday nights and i drop them back off Saturday evening before 9pm and it totals......(**drum roll please**) a whole $1.20. Now this is entertainment without breaking the bank.   


So, If you haven't tried Red Box I suggest you stop by and pick up a movie today! I promise you wont be unhappy.....

Friday Recap | Big Tex Burned Down Today at the State Fair

Just a few weeks ago my family gather to celebrate to 60th Birthday of Big Tex at the State Fair of Texas and today he went up in flames just two days prior to the end of the fair. If you are a born and raised Texan you would know that Big Tex is one of the main reasons for attending the fair. How many of you got a picture with the big guy in the background?
