My Review:

OMG I Lost My Job is a modern day survival guide for what to do when you loose your job. Personally with the way the economy is I suggest you read this even if you have a job as a just in case for you or someone else. Are your finances in order for you to loose your job tomorrow? Do you have a back up plan? This book will get you to thinking about it.

The book is divided into the following sections:

• Evaluate- What do I really want to do, How much time do I have and Emergency Measures.
• Make your plan- Your job search, making job contacts, resume, getting new skills and filling in.
• Implement- Getting motivated, interview tips and once you land the job.

This book will get you back up and running when you feel like you have just lost it all. The writer helps you calculate how much money you have and how long it last, how to write a killer resume if you don't have one and what to say to land that next job. 


My Rating: 5 
This book gave me some great ideals that I want to try out and I have a job just to bring in some more income. My savings plan is not exactly where I want it to be and this book helped me to see that.

Knot Genie- Post Review + $4 Coupon

So earlier this year I hosted my first Pre- product review on the Knot Genie. If you read this post you would know that I didn't care for the Knot Genie website and didn't think it would do much for my hair.  So lets rewind back to August when I did the post. I received a post offering me to trying out the Knot Genie if I would write a post on it. I did my post about four weeks later a small box arrived in the mail.

So I opened the box looked at the nice palm size gadget, shook my head and put it to the side. Now for about two weeks it sat in the same place untouched because I figures it would not work so I would probably gift it away for give it to my daughter for her baby doll. But that didn't seem to happen.....one day after washing my hair I was in the process of detangling my hair when it crossed my mind to just try it out.

After searching for the box I tried out the Knot Genie on my stubborn hair. Just to refresh your memory again... I have very kinky/course hair... it can take hours to detangle my hair sometimes. But I tried it out and I LOVED IT.... yep, I am a fan of the Knot Genie and I think you should be too if you have not already tried it.

So the Knot Genie proved me wrong, it is an awesome product. I recommend this for everyone... I use it on my self and my daughter and she no longer complains when I comb her hair.

My Girl Scout Weekend ( Dallas GS Cookie College)

Hey everyone so I took some days off... The holidays has me all over the place right now and I'm nowhere near finish shopping. I don't know what it is but this Christmas thing is no bueno right now. I will be posting deals as I find them because I'm still doing this shopping thing too so imma share a good deal.

This past weekend I had my first girls scouts outing and it was great. It was called Cookie College and the girls took over the University of North Texas Dallas. As many of you knew this was a one of those decision that I was a little on the fence with when I first signed up but its becoming rewarding.

I have six little girls from the ages 7 to 9. Six different personalities, different races, and different sizes. I believe that that there is a bigger purpose to being a troop leader after attending this event and seeing all the different girls. I'm a true believer that racism, bullying, and low self esteem problems among kids can start in the home when children are young. I want all these you ladies to know that that are beautiful, smart and important!!!

As you know this world is crazy and I want to know that I had a part in raising some very productive young women. Maybe one day ill be able to say the President of the United States was one of my Girl Scouts.

DIY.. How to BBQ or Grill a Whole Turkey | Meal Plan

Are you planning your great Christmas Feast this year? Well I am and I started practicing on Thanksgiving. As many of you know I don't normally cook for Thanksgiving but due to the fact I had found some new yummy recipes I cooked. So this is my Meal Plan Operation Christmas! 

How To Barbecue or Grill A Whole Turkey

Ingredients:

1 (15 to 20 pound) turkey, fresh or thawed, with giblets and neck removed.
1/2 cup butter, room temperature or softened and  divided, Salt and pepper, garlic, onions and lemons.


Preparation:

1. Preheat barbecue grill. 

2. Wash and pat dry turkey, rub with butter and season with Salt, pepper and other seasonings of choice. Rub the inside cavity of the turkey with 1/2 of the softened butter. Stuff with garlic, onions and 1-2 Lemons.
 
3. use 25 briquettes on each side of the pan for the first hour of grilling and add 8 briquettes to each side every hour to maintain heat.  

4. Make sure you follow step 3 every hour or the charcoal will go out... if you have a grill like the one I used above you will need a little help to this. I had to lift the rack by hand (make sure you have hot pads!!!) and have some restock the coals. 

Try to resist peeking under the lid too often. Every time you open your barbecue you will loose heat, and the cooking process will take longer. During the roasting process you control the temperature inside the barbecue by gradually opening or closing the bottom vent holes. Mind you: the top vent holes will ALWAYS remain fully open during roasting and smoking. During roasting, you should see only a whips of light Hot Smoke coming from your barbecue. 

5. After 3 hours of cooking check the temp to see if finished. I happen to use the thermometer that came in the turkey this year and it came out perfect.

So recently on television there has been commercials about the break up of Mike and Ike. Not being a big candy eater I can truly say I have never eating this candy or paid it any mind until now.

A few weeks ago my 8 year old came in to the room with a sad face and says "Oh my God Daddy, Mike and Ike just broke up, what are we to do?" At that moment I looked her completely clueless because I had yet to see this commercial but my husband broke into laughter and then told her they was going to to be all right they was just having a feud like her and her brother has.

Then yesterday while shopping at Dollar Tree I seen the new boxes of the new revamped Mike or Ike and figured I need to try out this candy so I bought both. I also loved that each one had a statement regarding the break up on the back.

 This morning I looked up how this all stated and it said that this was a campaign to make Mike and Ikes a house hold name again among the youngsters and i think it truly worked. The brand now stands out to me and its something new to my 8 year old and at the end of the day I purchased 2 boxes of Mike and Ike to support the cause.

Stop Mr.Officer I can't get this ticket because....

 My Baby is sick and we are searching for am emergency room....

I'm laughing out loud just thinking about this incident. About 7 seven years ago when I was in the process of moving to Texas my father insisted on helping me drive to Dallas. My husband at the time had just deployed to Iraq and the kids, me and Damien (the dog) was planning our big road trip.

During the trip I was pulled over for speeding and when before the office could even start to say why he was pulling me over my father leans across the driver seat and says we are trying to find an emergency room by grand baby is sick. At that time she just happen to be crying in the back seat she was about  9 months at the time.  So the officer decides to give us a police escort all the way to the hospital so she could get checked out.

At the time I was so scared and embarrassed that my father had done this knowing that there was nothing wrong with my daughter. But since the lie was already in the works I had to stick with it and follow the police to the hospital and go thru the hole process of checking her into the emergency room.

Thankfully the waiting time to be seen was about two hours so we sat there for about 45 minutes to give the offices time to leave and then we was back on our way to Dallas. This was a wild and crazy trip and for some reason it crossed my mind and I wanted to share since it can cause no harm now.
