Heart Disease Prevention | Heart Month Fact# 3

Did you know that February is more than just Valentines Day?

Well its also Love your Heart Month and we will be sharing some fun facts that may just save you your life over the next 28 days. 





Fact# 3

Heart Disease Prevention


 
  • Don’t smoke or use tobacco

  • Exercise

-          30 minutes, five times a week

-          Can divide each time into shorter segments(2x15 minutes, 3x10 minutes)

  • Eat a heart-healthy diet

-          Foods low in fat, cholesterol, and salt

-          Rich in fruit, vegetables, whole grains, and low-fat dairy products.

-          Beans, other low-fat sources of protein and certain type of fish are also excellent.

-          Drink alcohol in moderation

  • Maintain a healthy weight

  • Get regular health screenings
